Nintendo Switch 2: Another game confirmed for the console successor

confirmed, Console, game, Nintendo, Successor, Switch

We are still waiting for the announcement of the successor to the Nintendo Switch, but a new game has already been confirmed for the console.

Nintendo keeps us fidgeting and essentially refutes most of the leaks and predictions surrounding the launch of the Switch 2. This had actually been expected for a long time, but it still hasn’t taken place. It is still unclear when the Japanese company’s new console will appear – but the next title for the platform has already been confirmed.

This happened recently Yooka-Replaylee announced, a remaster of the colorful platformer Yooka-Laylee. In the accompanying trailer you can see logos of the supported consoles, including not only the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S, but also a Nintendo console.

What is striking in this context: While the specific logo was used for the Sony and Microsoft consoles, Nintendo did not use the one for the current Switch, but simply placed the general Nintendo logo – and that on purpose.

The British studio Playtonic has certainly taken note of the discussions that have arisen in this context and has confirmed that the choice of logo was not a mistake but rather a conscious decision. It was then added smugly and as a joke that Yooka-Replaylee would be available for the recently introduced Nintendo Alarmo watch.

So while the entire gaming world continues to wait for the Switch 2 to be unveiled, the list of confirmed games for the new Nintendo hardware continues to grow. Previously, for example My Time at Evershine or the RPG comparable to the Persona series Bestiary confirmed for the Switch 2.
