Thats how it works
- Register with your Bethesda.net account on the official website
- Linked in the settings of your Steam account
- The game will then be automatically activated on your account with Steam release
- You have to make the change by April 13th at 05:59 a.m.
What is taken over?
- Your game progress remains intact
- The friend list is also adopted
- The game itself is independent of launcher. So you can continue to play with users of the Bethesda version.

- Atoms cannot be taken from the Bethesda.Net account to Steam.
- Fallout 1st membership is also linked to the launcher.

- Items purchased with atoms can be used regardless of the launcher.
Fallout Classic is free
Everyone who owns Fallout 76 on Steam will also receive the Fallout Classic Collection consisting of Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics. That applies to new buyers of the game between April 14 and 28, 2020 and also for those who use the free migration option.
