Roblox’s Dress to impressa hugely popular dress-up fashion game on the platform, has removed its hot dog costumes from the Halloween season. The reason is clear. Players immersed in meat mania are adjusting the colors of hot dogs to create giant pigs, kings and shlons in one of the most popular children’s games out there.
The hot dog costume, may it rest in peace, has been replaced by a damn cupcake that bears no resemblance to a sexual organ. It’s worth noting that while the hot dog costume was eliminated for its Fat Man-like abilities, the truly amazing Plankton costume got caught in the crossfire just like a healthy dose of the regular hot dog costume. May their memory always echo in our hearts.

While we can obviously all laugh and joke about it, it’s clear why the costume was removed. For a children’s game, the regular presence of giant penis costumes is a gross look. But at the same time, that’s human nature, essentially. In my day, teenagers were building huge cocks in the forge mode of Halo. I bet every game with a community-building component has had its share of hard times. As players, all we can do is look back fondly on the beautiful moments when they were running free, rather than the dark and gloomy days after they were taken away.
What do you think of all this? Are you upset about the cancellation of hot dogs, or are you more comfortable with the fact that your six-year-old rated it less well on your laptop? Let us know below.
