Monster Hunter Wildsis the open beta gives you the chance to play the next big installment in Capcom’s long-running action RPG series a few months early.
Although it is available to all players, players on PlayStation 5 (with an active PlayStation Plus subscription) will also receive an early access period.

- 5 a.m. CEST for Western Europe/Paris (on Tuesday, Oct. 29)
- 4am BST for Great Britain (on Tuesday October 29th)
- 12pm JST in Japan/Tokyo (on Tuesday, Oct. 29)
The above times also apply to the end of each period. So for those in North America, it ends on Wednesday, October 30th at 8:00 p.m. PDT or 11:00 p.m. EDT.
As with all betas, assume that there may be server problems, especially at the beginning of the test. Capcom itself has mentioned this, explaining that the purpose of the beta is to “check certain elements such as network load” and therefore “cannot guarantee a stable gaming experience”.
How to access the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta on PS5, Xbox and PC
The beginning of the Monster Hunter WildsThe open beta is only available to PlayStation Plus subscribers on PlayStation 5. The second phase, which begins October 31st, is available to all players on Xbox, Windows PC and PlayStation, including non-PlayStation Plus subscribers.
No pre-order, sign-up or key is required to gain access – simply go to your platform’s storefront and download the open beta client.
A pre-release version will be available 24 hours before each platform’s launch time, so you can start playing as soon as the test begins.
What does the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta offer?

By participating in the open beta you will receive two rewards that you can carry with you into the full game upon release:
- “Stuffed Felyne teddy” Trailer (cosmetic items)
- Open the Beta Test Bonus Item Pack (with 10 Mega Potion, 5 Ration, 5 Life Powder, 5 Armor Sphere, 2 Max Potion, 2 Herbal Medicine, 2 Nulberry)
To unlock these, all you have to do is create a character, which will then be imported into the full game. So if you do this, the above rewards will be yours, regardless of how much you then play. Please note that an online connection is required to transfer these items.
