A new age of empires, but not in the way you think
Good news for fans of the famous Age of Empires series: a new game has just been released! But be careful, it’s not what you expected AoE 5. This new work is called Age of Empires Mobile and, as the name suggests, is available on smartphones/tablets. You can download it now for free on the App Store and Google Play as it is free to play.
Despite its mobile format, Age of Empires Mobile remains true to the essence of the series. You start by choosing one of the eight available civilizations, harvesting resources, developing your village, and then going to war against your rivals. Siege tactics and weapons of the time are the focus of the game, all on a smartphone screen.
The game offers a single player mode for those who prefer to play at their own pace, but it shines best in its multiplayer mode. Unlike classic one-on-one battles, AoE Mobile allows you to form alliances with dozens of other players. Together you will compete against an opposing alliance in massive battles with up to 100 players and thousands of units.
Strategy and tactics always present
As in the classic Age of Empires games, the key to victory lies in strategy. It’s not enough to run headfirst. The trick is to combine your units well. For example, if you just send riders against the walls of a castle, you won’t achieve anything. But using trebuchets and archers to weaken defenses before launching your melee units is a smarter approach. The game is available onApple Store and further Google Play.
