As it turns out, I have a lot of empathy for the new live-action actor behind Kazuma Kiryu, as he’s also waiting to get more time to star in the Yakuza series.
Look, you don’t have to sell them to me – I know I’m going to love the Yakuza games. To be honest, everything I saw from them I fell in love with, I even played part of Yakuza 0, but, you know… I’m an adult! There is a job! Right here, it requires me to play not only a lot of different games, but sometimes TV shows and movies, and the Yakuza games are pretty long. There are a lot of them now! Luckily I’m not the only one who does this, Ryoma Takeuchi, the actor who plays Kiryu in the recently released (pretty good) Yakuza: Like a Dragon series, said he’s waiting to play them, Until he has time to do so.

In an interview with GamesRadar, when asked if he would be interested in playing the game that is now part of the series, he responded: “Yeah, I feel strongly about it actually. I really want to play the game , but if I mean, I really enjoy playing video games, but if I start playing it, I need to play the entire game, so I need to be in front of the TV screen for a long, long time.
“I have a lot of things in front of me to do and accomplish,” Takeuchi continued. “So, that’s where I am right now. But I’m looking forward to competing. “I feel the same way, really. Takeuchi shared his thoughts on playing an established character like Kiryu earlier this year, especially without actually playing the game, and he made some very valid and respectable points about his approach to the job.
