Nearly three years after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland has finally confirmed that the fourth film will be filmed next year.
There was a lot of uncertainty about Spider-Man 4, first whether it would happen, then knowing it was happening, but Holland being cautious about it, and then still being on the gas with Destin Daniel Cretton Daniel Cretton) found the director. With that, it seems the uncertainty is no longer needed, because during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Holland was asked by the titular host about a possible fourth movie. “There are rumors that Spider-Man 4 is coming out and you’re going to be back as Spider-Man,” Fallon said, with a sly smile on the actor’s face and Holland asking “What do you want to know?”

Fallon then asked, “Can we confirm this tonight?” A simple, clear “something is happening” from Holland. “We start filming next summer and everything is going great. We’re almost there and it’s super exciting. I can’t wait.” This is obviously great news for those who have been desperately waiting for some kind of official update, but If you’re looking for plot details, I’m afraid you’re out of luck. There’s been some rumors floating around, and obviously there’s been some back-and-forth on how to progress with the finale of No Way Home and how long it’s been in development for this film, but if it’s ready to start filming next summer, obviously, one idea More or less already formed.

Unless Holland is just a little shy, we probably won’t expect Miles Morales to show up in the Marvel Universe, as the actor recently shared if he’s “lucky enough to somehow bring Miles to Morales brings me into the Spider-Man universe and into the MCU, something I would love to do for a little kid [Robert Downey Jr.] Made for me. “Maybe that’s happening and he’s gotten better at lying, but now you’ll just have to wait and see.
