The latest PS5 and PC update for Silent Hill 2 Remake fixes a major, even critical, issue that occurred with update 1.04. Here are the full patch notes.

Silent Hill 2 Remake was praised by the press and gamers. A popular vote that Bloober Team was not used to until then, as their previous games were much more divided. And the Polish studio also wants to use this success to change everything internally and stop producing “shitty games”. Money words from game director Wojciech Piejko. In the meantime, SH2 Remake, like all current titles, needs a bit of tinkering to fix a critical flaw. A new update is available on all media. Here’s what’s changing.

A major update for Silent Hill 2 Remake

Bloober Team has already announced the studio’s next game, Cronos: The New Dawn. A game similar to Dead Space that builds on the progress of Silent Hill 2 Remake. Especially considering the entire combat part. At the moment there is no release date and the teams have to give the Silent Hill 2 remake a little more time.

Major update 1.04, released on October 21, was responsible for a bug that completely blocked progress during a key passage. To fix this, patch 1.005 is available on PS5 and PC. Here are all the improvements in this new Silent Hill 2 Remake update.

Notes on patch 1.005 on PS5 and PC

  • Fix where players got stuck in the maze
    • Fixed an issue where players who saved in the Labyrinth after Toluca Prison were prevented from continuing when the save data was loaded after the patch 1.04 update
  • Steam cloud backups
    • We’ve enabled Steam Cloud support for PC players on Steam. Note that the game will automatically sync with the latest cloud save data. If your cloud backup is newer than your local backup, this will overwrite the local data without displaying a warning message on the screen. We recommend that Silent Hill 2 Remake players save their data locally if they want to keep multiple versions
