There have always been particularly cheap laptops, but you could see that from a distance. With this laptop cracker from Aldi you can’t see it even if you look closer.
If you are looking for a good everyday or entry-level laptop, you will currently find it at Aldi. The discounter is reducing the price of the 14-inch MD62560 notebook to a previously unseen low price.
Normally you have to make compromises in many places if you reach for the bottom row of shelves with the very low prices. As a rule, you can see the price range of the models from a distance without even checking the technical details.
The MD62560 from Medion offers technical home cooking in the guise of a fine restaurant; visually, the notebook can only be distinguished from expensive models by a slightly larger screen bezel. The technical equipment can easily cope with all simple requirements, from data and word processing to surfing the Internet and video streaming.
Update: The laptop was quickly sold out in stores and in the online shop. At MediaMarkt you can get the laptop for an additional charge of 10 dollars over the store offer. In this price range that’s of course a whopping 5% surcharge, but even at 125 dollars including shipping you can’t go wrong with the device.

You get a perfect laptop for everyday use, whose design can keep up with expensive devices. Windows 11 is included and preinstalled, so you can get started with your new laptop straight away. Of course, you shouldn’t expect miracles from the device; when it comes to games, for example, you’ll have to make do with simple browser games. But that also makes the device interesting for students: you don’t even have to install Fortnite and Co. This device eliminates any distractions.
Medion itself is currently selling the device for 229 dollarson average other dealers charge around 220 dollars.
Deal-Tipp:
You can find similar offers in our purchasing guides for notebooks and MediaMarkt.
Every component of this laptop is solid, but not a single one is really strong: 4GB of RAM is currently the minimum requirement, a full HD display is only at the lower edge of what is possible, the processor is neither particularly fast nor particularly energy efficient, and the flash memory 128 GB is fast, but small. At least the laptop offers space for an additional SSD with up to 1TB of storage capacity, so some of the components can still be improved.
But if you expect more from your laptop than the ability to handle standard tasks and an attractive design, you should perhaps choose a different product straight away. The laptop presented here is perfect for everyday use and could even break at school without causing a financial catastrophe. The device is definitely worth seeing there.
