THE Jukebox in East South Vale is the first big puzzle you have to solve in the Silent Hill 2 remake.
You get the key to Neely’s Bar to solve your problems, but before you can grab the correct Jukebox Puzzle Solution in the bar you need to find three items scattered across the East South Vale map: Neely Bar CoinTHE Broken vinyl record (and vinyl glue), and the Jukebox button.

We can, however, confirm that the key item locations and puzzle solutions detailed below are the same on “Standard” and “Hard” difficulties.

Neely’s Bar Coin location in Silent Hill 2
Neely’s Bar Coin is located in the Texan Café cash registerwhich you can access through its north gate at the end of Katz Street. Once you collect the coin from the cash register, a lying crawling enemy will appear, so be careful!
You gain access to this part of Katz Street shortly after finding the radio.
Broken Vinyl Record Location in Silent Hill 2
The broken vinyl and the vinyl glue used to repair it can be found in the back room of the Groovy Music record storeat the north end of Neely St. You can access the back room by smashing the interior windows, then jumping over the wall. The broken vinyl and vinyl glue are on the table in the middle of the back room.
There are two Lying Figures in the Groovy Music Record Store, so have your weapon ready before entering.
When you collect them both, open the “Key Items” part of your inventory and combine the broken vinyl record, vinyl glue, and the other broken vinyl record you collected from the Jukebox to create the Glued vinyl record.
Jukebox button location in Silent Hill 2
Jukebox button is found inside a hole in the back of 3F of the Saul Street Apartmentswhich is located on Saul Street in the southern part of East South Vale.
Unlike previous locations, you have to do a little investigating in the Saul Street Apartments to find your way to the room with the Jukebox button:
- Move the cabinet away from the blocked door at 1F.
- Enter the room and collect the apartment key from the holder inside the adjacent room.
- Go up the stairs to 2F and use the apartment key in room 5 to unlock it.
- Go through the gap in the wall inside room 5, then go through the next gap in the wall and jump over the window.
- Go up the fire escape and jump inside the window to 3F.
- Enter the toilet at the back and bravely search the hole in the wall to get the Jukebox button.
Now that you have the three items needed to solve the puzzle, it’s time to return to the Jukebox in Neely’s Bar.
How to solve the Jukebox puzzle in Silent Hill 2
Once you have the Neely’s Bar coin, the glued vinyl record and the Jukebox button, here is how to solve the Jukebox puzzle in Silent Hill 2:
- Push the lever down and bring the record holder towards the screen.
- Place the glued vinyl record into the holder.
- Place the Jukebox button in the empty slot on the left.
- Insert the Neely’s Bar coin into the coin slot on the right.
- Press the “C” then “2” buttons on the left.
This solution is correct for “Standard” and “Hard” puzzle difficulties.
Neely’s bar key will fall out of the Jukebox after the cutscene. Use it on the door near the Neely’s Bar save point to continue James’ search for Mary by heading towards Wood Side Apartments.
