Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is entering the next round – Ubisoft Massive still owes us the second DLC. There is now a specific date for this and it won’t be long away.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora may not have been Ubisoft’s biggest hit, but it had its fans and they are still patiently waiting for the second paid DLC, which is also part of the season pass content. The story DLC is called Secret of the Spiers and has finally been given a concrete release date.
From November 26th, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – Secret of the Spiers will take you into mountainous regions. At least that’s what Ubisoft confirmed via the platform formerly known as Twitter. The previous DLC The Sky Breaker was released in July.
The description states: “Secrets of the Spiers features a new story campaign with an expanded map of the Western Frontier, a new Na’vi clan and new characters. Explore the dizzying peaks of a new mountainous region where banshee flights necessary to traverse the extensive network of canyons and caves and where the new predator Chiroptera lurks in the air.”
On board are new Banshee skills such as flight maneuvers and a mounted crossbow with which you can make life difficult for the RDA flying units.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was released in December 2023 and sales fell well short of expectations. At the end of January, Ubisoft only had 1.9 million copies sold – little for a project of this size. In his test for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, colleague Dennis was rather semi-enthusiastic: “The game has not become the Far Cry clone we feared. Instead, you can expect an independent shooter that definitely brings in a few fresh ideas and almost matches the mood of the films “You have to decide for yourself whether that’s good or bad.”
