Netflix and Co. have many good films and series on offer. You can only find this cinema comedy in the ARD media library and it’s free.
Anyone who wants to watch a good film usually first looks at well-known streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ or Prime Video. Certainly very few people have the ARD media library on their radar. You can also find current films here, completely free of charge. For example, you can recently see the movie “Micha thinks big” here.
That’s what it’s about
The comedy is about the self-made entrepreneur Micha (Charlie Hübner) who returns from Berlin to his childhood village of Klein-Schlappleben in Saxony-Anhalt. The game designer has an idea, or rather a vision: He wants to turn his parents’ dilapidated former hotel into a luxury oasis for stressed-out city dwellers. He is met with skepticism.
The divided village community is not convinced of Micha’s plans. Only a few old school friends believe in his idea. In the end, the hot, dry summer could thwart their plans. The small village has to learn that they can only shape their future together.
What’s amazing about this film is that there was no set script. The actors had to work on a rough draft with the most important plot points; the rest was improvised. The result is funny, but at the same time shows a very realistic dystopia.
But would you rather have a thrill?
If you’re more interested in an emotional roller coaster ride, you can currently find many thrillers on Netflix. The streaming service recently added the cinema thriller “Schock” to its program. However, there is currently another exciting horror thriller at the top of the Netflix charts.
