Have Disney and Marvel understood that audiences have become tired of excessive superhero films and series projects? In 2024, the duo will have to reduce their performance and seem ready to counterattack, despite the warning signals from spectators. Next year, no fewer than six series will make their debut in the Disney+ catalog, sometimes in the form of a live-action show, sometimes in the form of an animated project. In recent days, Marvel and Disney have announced the release schedule for the twelve months of 2025.

Next year, Marvel and Disney will have to answer a question that is on the lips of fans of the film Marvel Cinematic Universe : Have you learned from your past mistakes? In 2023, the duo suffered a major setback when they realized that superhero movies/series are going through a bad phase. This significantly reduced the list of projects planned for 2024, leaving only the film Deadpool and Wolverine the responsibility of representing the MCU in theaters. While one could have believed that the company had calmed down in the long term, this ultimately does not seem to be the case. In recent days, Disney and Marvel have lifted the veil on the names of the series that would complete the list of series already planned for 2025. Daredevil can rest assured in the series Reborn is by no means the only one who appears in the company calendar!

Since Marvel and Disney already have a full series schedule in 2025, they are not letting up on the pressure

After a year of transition, Disney and Marvel want to offer subscribers to the Disney+ platform a whole range of different and varied formats. Overall there is no less than six different series that will be launched in 2025. The focus is obviously on the return of Matt Murdock Daredevil: Reborn (which will be released on March 4, 2025). However, this will not be the only representative of live-action projects since then Ironheart et Wonder Woman will support it a few months later, or in September and December 2025.

When it comes to animation, Disney and Marvel actually have new projects in the pipeline. Next year we will find three more animated series: Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man / Spider-Man: Freshman Year (scheduled for January 29th), Eyes of Wakanda (scheduled for August 6th) and finally Marvel Zombies The publication, which is expected to take place in October 2025, has not yet been exactly dated. So it promises to be a busy year for television. It remains to be seen whether the public will respond to and be attracted to these new formats. In short, it is a new battle that begins for Marvel and Disney and we hope that it does not end like the last one … The famous series is now What if… will close out 2024 with a third season available on December 22nd.
