fans of Dino crisis I never stopped dreaming about the series returning. If Capcom is silent on the subject, one enthusiast has decided to take matters into his own hands. An unofficial remake of Dino Crisis titled Dino Crisis: Rebirthis in development thanks to Unreal Engine 5. This ambitious project, led by Steven Games Studios, an independent developer, aims to modernize the cult game while maintaining its original atmosphere.
Dino Crisis: Rebirtha promising fan project
Capcom has not yet responded to numerous requests for a remake of Dino crisis. However, demand from fans of the series is high. Instead of waiting indefinitely, Steven Games Studios started their own project, heavily inspired by the 1999 original. The goal? Recreate the atmosphere of terror and tension of the game while bringing modern graphics and gameplay.
The creator does not aim for exact reproduction. On the contrary, Dino Crisis: Rebirth is a redesigned version that draws loose inspiration from the original game while adding a personal touch. In his opinion, it’s all about capturing the oppressive atmosphere and horror that made the game so successful.
A demo is available
If you would like to get an idea, a free demo is available Itch.io. It lasts about 40 minutes and offers a first glimpse of a real remake Dino crisis. Several players have already tested this version and the initial reactions are positive. Even though the game still has some imperfections, the work done by one person is impressive.

But as with any fan project, the future will depend on the enthusiasm and support of the community. If he gets enough positive feedback, he might be able to turn this remake into a full project.
