The wait for the first Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 season update will last a few more weeks, Treyarch continues to work on improving the gaming experience with important bug fixes. The latest update addresses serious issues with balancing, gameplay, progression bugs, and other issues plaguing players.
One of the most notable changes is the resolution of the black screen issue experienced by some players when joining public or private games. According to the studio, this issue has been fixed in the Multiplayer and Zombies game modes, which should provide relief to players experiencing this issue.
Shotguns will now be able to use their attachments correctly
Another notable change is the fix to the Slugs attachment on shotguns, which now deals the correct amount of damage. Additionally, Free-For-All leaderboards are now based on number of kills rather than total score, which should provide a fairer gaming experience.
The update also addresses stability issues in several game modes, including spectator mode in Zombies. Additionally, they were added various stability fixes server side to improve the overall gaming experience. Below is the full list of changes and fixes made in the latest update:
GLOBAL
- Stability: Fixed an issue where some players could experience a black screen when loading a public or private game for Multiplayer and Zombies.
- Parameters: Fixed an issue when trying to select DLSS or DLAA in the scaling options.
- User interface: Fixed an issue with Diamond Mastery badge unlock notification.
MULTIPLAYER
- Cards: Lowtown has been removed from the infected map pool.
Modes:- Added Infected to the Private Match selection.
- Fixed an issue in Free for All where scoring was based on total score instead of number of elimination points.
- Fixed an issue in Search and Destroy where players could slide too far while defusing or placing the bomb.
- Weapons: Fixed an issue with the Slug attachment on Shotguns causing incorrect damage.
- Progress: Fixed an issue where challenges requiring diving kills were not awarded correctly.
- Stability:
- Fixed a stability issue when using the drone.
- Fixed a stability issue in Infected when obtaining medals.
- Fixed a stability issue when using the Vigilance perk.
ZOMBIES
- Gameplay: An exploit that allowed players to reactivate timed GobbleGums has been fixed.
Enemies: Specials and Elites killed by Scorestreaks will no longer drop items.
Terms: An exploit that allowed players to block the path of zombies with the Tactical Raft has been fixed. - Freedom Falls.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Scorestreaks from being used after completing the main quest.
- Fixed an issue that left the player in spectator mode when dying after completing the main quest.
- Stability:
- Fixed a stability issue when changing field upgrades.
- Added several server-side stability fixes.
- User interface: Round UI limit adjusted from 256 to 999.
