The Xbox Series S is often a cause for concern when it comes to the ability to run new titles properly. Does this also apply to GTA 6? Publisher Take-Two Interactive has now commented on this.
The weaker Xbox Series S is now seen in gaming circles as a stumbling block in the current generation of consoles, because Microsoft usually requires that new Xbox titles also run on the Series S. This doesn’t always work completely satisfactorily, so it’s definitely worth asking what the situation is in Grand Theft Auto VI in this regard. Is there any reason to worry that the supposed action epic won’t run well on the Xbox Series S?
Publisher Take-Two Interactive has now commented on this in the person of CEO Strauss Zelnikc. So you don’t have to worry about GTA 6 running properly on the Xbox Series S.
According to Zelnick, Rockstar Games always “finds a way to support different platforms despite different levels of technology.” He goes on to add with conviction: “Our labels are really, really good at this.” Specifically regarding the Xbox Series S, he says that he’s “not really worried” that the action epic wouldn’t run properly there.
These statements also open up the possibility of speculation as to whether GTA 6 might also be released for the Switch 2 when it comes out next year. Finally, the publisher recently reaffirmed the release period and set it for autumn 2025 – and the new Nintendo console could also be available by then. We’ll keep you updated.
