If you’re looking for ways to spice up your Baldur’s Gate 3 games, here’s a particularly original new feature that could clearly be worth the detour.
Since the release of Patch 7 and full mod support in Baldur’s Gate 3, the overflowing imagination of modders has treated us to many pleasant surprises. The most exciting ones are interested in new races or playable classes just to keep bringing new games to market. This is exactly the case with the Acorntail mod that interests us.
Put your party together differently in Baldur’s Gate 3
With already 12 classes and their specializations, the possibilities for creating different characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 are already considerable. But obviously not enough for modders, who keep finding new ideas in this area. In particular, we have adaptations of iconic classes from World of Warcraft or updated classes from old editions of Dungeons & Dragons. Acorntail took things a step further with their Duo class.
As the name suggests, this class actually allows you to create two characters for the price of one. So you have your main avatar as well as a companion. There are three specializations for this class, so his sidekick can be the classic warrior, wizard or rogue from Baldur’s Gate 3. You can therefore summon him at any time and he will control your moves, your actions through tactics, a class-specific mechanic that Acorntail came up with. The modder has even integrated new dialogue options specifically for this sidekick.
Leveling up is therefore not just about advancing one character, but both members of the duo by unlocking new skills and tactics. The mod Duo class can also be used in multiplayer mode. This makes it possible to create a group of up to eight characters in total. A happy chaos, in short, everything that suits Baldur’s Gate 3 best. You can get an idea of what it all looks like in the video below.
