Bloodborne remaster? An announcement awakens the wildest hopes

announcement, Awakens, bloodborne, hopes, Remaster, wildest

An announcement from owner FromSoftware raises the highest hopes for Bloodborne’s possible return to the forefront via a remaster or something else.

As a reminder, FromSoftware is owned by the Kadokawa Group, which also includes other studios such as Spike Chunsoft and Gotcha Gotcha Games (RPG Maker). In its latest financial report, the Japanese group reveals that many games are in active development at the studios it owns. Could it be that one of them is the highly anticipated remaster or PC port of Bloodborne?

Finally an Eternal Night release for Bloodborne?

Since its release on PS4 in 2014, Bloodborne has definitely left its mark. Led by the brilliant Hidetaka Miyazaki, the title brought new life to the Souls genre, with an atmosphere as tortured as it was fascinating, mixing the Victorian era with Lovecraftian influences. Unlike many other PlayStation exclusives, some of which are less prestigious, the FromSoftware title never went through the remaster or PC port box.

However, the Kadokawa Group, notably the owner of FromSoftware, recently announced that it currently has a whopping 26 games (twenty for consoles and six for mobile phones) in active development. Most are unknown, which of course revives the wild hopes of Bloodborne fans. We know that FromSoftware has experienced significant internal growth since the release of Elden Ring and its Shadow of the World Tree DLC. The talented Japanese studio’s staff has been significantly increased, giving it more room to manage various projects.

It could therefore be that Bloodborne is part of one of the 20 console games in development proposed by the Kadokawa group. However, please note that this does not only depend on FromSoftware and its owner. The license still belongs to Sony. However, the Japanese giant seems to want to once again focus on big solo exclusives, especially after the disastrous Concord crash. And few titles enjoy such a strong aura among players as Bloodborne. However, we will have to wait for more concrete information before selling the Blood of the Beast.
