You may remember that a few months ago Hideaki Itsuno officially announced that he was leaving Capcom at the end of the summer. Itsuno has been part of the company for over 30 years. When Itsuno confirmed the news, he also mentioned his future plans, saying that he will “start developing a new game in a new environment.”
Well, now we have a better idea of what he meant. LightSpeed Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, announced the establishment of a studio called LightSpeed Japan Studio that will operate in 2 locations in Tokyo and Osaka. This studio will be led by Itsuno, and will be focused on the development of original AAA action video games.
