Remember the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition? An ill-fated set of three classic GTA games, released in poor shape and received equally poorly? Well, after three years of working quietly behind the scenes, it looks like the folks at Rockstar have rolled out a long-awaited update that might actually be worth checking out.
The goal of this update is lighting to make the game look more like the original it’s based on. Players can turn this feature on at any time and suddenly find themselves flooded with brighter colors in a wave of nostalgia. Or, if they prefer something quieter, they can leave it as is, no judgment here!

The feature has been present in the mobile version of the game for some time, which has sparked enthusiasm for the feature coming to the PC and console versions of the game. It took a while, but I think now that it’s here, it at least makes the game look right. This still has performance issues across different platforms, though… What are our recommendations if you want to try this new look? Get it on PC. Otherwise, the game may look polished, but may not run as well as you want.
If you’re looking to buy the game, it’s been known to receive significant discounts during past sales, so it might be worth the wait. Alternatively, you can purchase GTA 5 directly. This seems to be a very popular move! Let us know how you found it!
