Last month, E3 2020 was officially canceled due to "increased concerns and concerns" about coronavirus outbreaks. Various video game companies, such as Nintendo, have responded to the news with official statements saying they will explore other ways to engage with fans and share new announcements.
Now, IGN has now announced its new & # 39; Summer of Gaming & # 39; plans to host this June. It will collaborate with many key partners to share the latest news and ideas around upcoming games and next-generation hardware (with live streaming and on-demand programming). Here are the companies and platforms involved so far:
2K, Square Enix, SEGA, Bandai Namco, Amazon, Google Stadia, Twitter, Devolver Digital, THQ Nordic
Other companies are expected to be added to the list, and IGN promises to have the event complete with publishers presentations, IGN pre and post interviews, developer development talks, hands-on-demos, previews, gameplay and news sections that highlight the digital event announcements .
IGN coverage will be expandable for all fans around the world, and broadcasts and news can be accessed from multiple devices on more than 20 different platforms. Audiences from home will also be able to participate in the event, submit video reactions and vote on their favorite announcements.
IGN intends to reveal more details about the event, as well as the date, in the coming weeks. Will it be repaired? Leave a comment below.
