If you commute to work and rely on both the train and the bike, a folding bike is a good choice. The bikes can be folded up and take up less space on crowded public transport trains. But with e-support they are not a real bargain. Even the discounter Lidl charges at least 960 dollars for a corresponding model in its online shop.
You can get one cheaper from the manufacturer Fiido, which specializes in folding e-bikes. He reduced the price of the D11 on Black Friday. The development of the wheel was financed in 2020 via the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. Supporters were able to secure it for 710 dollars. It later normally cost 1,099 dollars. For Black Friday, the manufacturer is offering it almost at the Indiegogo price again.
