In addition to numerous other innovations, friend requests are also returning as part of the Xbox November update.
Team Xbox was once again inspired by the community’s feedback and made improvements to the console, Xbox app, Windows and accessories as part of the November update.
After a successful test run in the Insider program, friend requests will return for all players. A friend request must be confirmed by both parties and reveals more details about each player’s activities.
It is also possible to follow players, clubs or games to stay up to date with the content shared. The current connections are updated accordingly.
Another improvement concerns the search function. This is now AI-powered and delivers more useful and accurate results faster. The function can even handle typos, abbreviations, synonyms and emojis.
The new Xbox App for Windows Home experience will roll out to all players in the coming weeks. The latest and greatest content from Game Pass and Store will now be combined in one convenient place.
Thanks to the “Jump back in” function, players can now access the last games they played in compact mode in no time and without the hassle of searching.
On Xbox consoles, player images can be created from achievements or screenshots, and when creating backgrounds it is possible to zoom or crop them.
Additionally, a number of updates and improvements are being introduced to the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, and the Xbox Accessories app.
These include, among other things, the calibration of the analog sticks and triggers, expanded and even more flexible assignment options and the assignment of mouse inputs.
