At igamesnews, we monitor deals in the US and UK throughout the year and base our recommendations on our in-depth knowledge of Apple products – new and old. For example, it’s important to know that Apple recently updated the Mac mini and iMac to the M4 chip (as it did with the MacBook Pro). These updates were more than just a new chip, Apple also doubled the RAM allocated as standard from 8GB to 16GB. Additionally, in the UK prices fell (but not in the US). United). As a result, the price of the older generation iMac and Mac mini would have to be significantly reduced to compete with the new models.
You’ll see how much RAM (or unified memory) is offered for the deals below, so you know exactly what you’re getting. We also include the price at which Apple sells Macs and the price at which it sold them in the case of discontinued models.

Is Apple offering discounts on Macs for Black Friday?
Apple isn’t discounting Macs for Black Friday, but Apple is offering vouchers for Black Friday purchases. We’ll update this page as discounts arrive and as Apple announces its own Black Friday 2024 sale.
Luckily, many retailers are offering discounted MacBooks, and we monitor them closely so we can spot the best deals. If we see what we think is a good deal, we’ll share it below – in fact, we’ve seen some good discounts before.

What does Apple propose in 2024?
Every year, Apple holds a four-day shopping event, Black Friday, but rather than offering discounts, it just offers gift certificates for certain products. In 2023, you could get gift cards in the following amounts with subsequent Mac purchases made on Apple’s US site or Apple’s UK site.
We are planning a similar offer in 2024 and will update when we have the information.

- We often find that the best savings are on older models.
- Be sure to confirm what generation the discounted model is so you know exactly what you’re buying and what it’s really worth.
- Sometimes, resellers turn to selling reconditioned or used products once their stock of new models is exhausted. Be sure to check that the model on sale isn’t actually a used Mac and therefore isn’t as good a deal as it seems. On Amazon, for example, look for new purchase prices.
- Mac deals aren’t limited to Black Friday. There are great deals to be had all year round, so don’t feel pressured to shop on Black Friday.
