After two weeks of the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons it's time to grab the shovel and ax to set up the entire island. It is one of the main novelties of this installment of the franchise. Island morphology can now be changed removing or adding rivers, waterfalls or elevations. The game offers as many possibilities as you can imagine and players are already making their own projects like a custom Pokémon room. But this is only a small part of what can be done abroad. A player has recreated the Hyrule map, the fictional world of the video game series The Legend of Zelda.
User VaynMaaanen has shared his work on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, where he has recreated every corner of Hyrule inspired by the SNES The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past map. The result has surprised everyone because the similarity is more than evident. It has added the roads, the water surfaces where they correspond and the important buildings that could be visited in the original game. The City Council, for example, acts as Hyrule castle, whereas the houses of the insulanos form the town. Everything is thought, even the elevations and textures of the terrain.
After 4 grueling days of terraforming I've modeled my island after Hyrule from Link to the Past! More pictures in the comments desde AnimalCrossing
It is the most ambitious project we have seen so far, since it has also customized the avatar with the classic look of Link as you can see in the image above. Of course Link would have given anything to have a pole to overcome all obstacles. The success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is evident and it has already sold more than 700,000 copies, becoming number 1 in countries like France.
