Those who are into the Pokemon TCG Pocket trend and want to check out some old card art will be very interested in this new fan-made site.
The Pokemon trading card game is as old as the original games, which means there are thousands of cards. Because there are so many, it can be a bit difficult to find them neatly cataloged online. Thankfully, though, one fan has taken it upon himself to create a new fan site called Pokemon Card Art , which is entirely dedicated to curating every Pokemon card made in Japan. When I say every card, I mean it, you can go all the way back to the original base set and everything is neatly presented to you.

It’s not just Pokemon card art, there’s a variety of official artwork and scans, as well as some fan art made by TCG artists – you can even look for a specific artist to see all the cards they’ve made for the game, or select a specific card card Pokémon or characters to see what cards they have received over the years. It’s not the easiest to navigate, as there’s no search function, but it’s still an impressive catalog with a lot of cards.

The site’s creators took to Twitter to explain why they made the site, writing: “A few years ago I wanted a place to scroll through all the Japanese Pokémon cards, see the artists of the cards and learn about the other ones they made Artwork. I wanted it so what sucks is that I spent hundreds of hours learning to develop and have it plod along on weeknights and weekends…” They also shared that there are over 23,000 cards listed there, As well as over 2,000 products, over 2,000 pieces of art, over 500 illustrators, and every Pokemon in the book. The entire latest illustrated book.
I think if I’m not careful I could spend all day looking at this thing, so maybe I should go back to Pokemon TCG Pocket and try to get some good pulls…
