Reuters news reports this morning that Sony Group Corporation is in talks to acquire Kadokawa, which would give them a major advantage in the anime, manga and video game markets. This move would make Sony the owner of Spike Chunsoft. and also have a majority stake in FromSoft, the developers behind the critically acclaimed Elden Ring, Bloodbourne and more. They would also own Acquire which was behind the recently released Mario and Luigi Brotherhood, Octopath Traveler and more.
