With the release of the NieR Automata DLC, Stellar Blade offers both a clever nod to the original cult title and a comical punishment for the naughtiest.
Stellar Blade has pulled out all the stops to highlight its main character, EVE. Rightly beautiful to look at, our Shift Up heroine is highlighted from all angles. This is especially thanks to various more or less explicit outfits. The NieR Automata DLC also filled his wardrobe with 2B and A2's iconic outfits. In the exercise, the Korean studio takes inspiration from a fun Easter egg from the original game for those with a bit of a wandering eye.
A strong nod to NieR Automata to calm the heat on Stellar Blade
With its futuristic post-apocalyptic universe controlled by a synthetic being, Stellar Blade had many similarities to NieR Automata. The Shit Up director also had a special relationship with the brilliant Yoko Taro. A collaborative DLC therefore made perfect sense. This is available now, but for 10 dollars. It notably contains outfits and other cosmetic items specific to 2B and A2, two main protagonists of NieR Automata.
As a reminder, this featured a pretty clever Easter egg when players tried to look under 2B's skirt. Then, with a disapproving look, she approached in a pirouette to escape the lustful stares. The homage in Stellar Blade is repeated precisely, almost line by line. If we move the camera a little too low while EVE is wearing 2B's outfit, our heroine will violently kick the camera. You can see what this looks like in the video below. The protagonist of Stellar Blade may seem sweet and charming, but you shouldn't mess with her too much either.
