A new heavyweight arrives in terms of raw power: the Nubia Z70 Ultra is one of the first Android phones to integrate the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a processor intended for superlative returns. And it doesn't stop there since the mobile offers a main camera with variable aperture and a 6,150 mAh battery. Almost nothing.

In a fairly common move among Chinese manufacturers, ZTE has just presented the crown jewel in its home country with an upcoming launch in the West. And what a launch, the Nubia Z70 Ultra promises to stand up to any other commercial smartphone, nothing happens. It even has a special edition that will captivate more than one eye. The Nubia Z70 Ultra is the evolution of the Nubia Z60 Ultra, a phone that has already impressed us with its design and capabilities. Because, if this model wasted a technical sheet ready to be framed, its successor is no less. He even keeps one of the keys to the family, the front camera under the screen.

With a rectangular design, sharp edges and a prominent area for the rear cameras, the Nubia Z70 Ultra offers a 6.86-inch OLED screen. no holes or cuts which promotes extreme use of the facade. 1.5K resolution, refresh rate up to 144 Hz and a second round screen to cover the 16 megapixel front camera. There is no difference in viewing in the top area, it seems that ZTE has tweaked this unique feature to the extreme.

In the processor section, the new Nubia launches the most powerful Qualcomm family, as we said. Additionally, it offers up to 24GB of DDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. He has switch for sound modesoffers another additional button for photography (physical and dual position), is certified against dust and water and has an optical fingerprint reader under the panel.

Entering the photographic section, the Nubia Z70 Ultra has a triple camera with a 50 megapixel main camera where one hardware element stands out: shutter with variable aperture in stages. Said shutter can move between f/1.59 and f/4.0 to regulate the entry of light and incidentally the bokeh. At least on paper, we'll see if it's ultimately something useful.

Besides the main camera, the phone includes a 50-megapixel rear wide-angle lens and a 64-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens and 3x optical zoom. This camera and the main camera are mechanically stabilized with OIS.

The Nubia Z70 Ultra starts with Android 15 as the operating system version; supported by the manufacturer's own layer, Nebula AI OS. He has 6,150 mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging (it does not have wireless charging, rare in a premium range), includes dual stereo speakers and an infrared transmitter.

The mobile phone has already been released in China and can be purchased in this country. As for the West, the Nubia Z70 Ultra arrives on November 26. Without yet knowing the European prices, we know the Chinese ones:
