Restore Credentials is the Android tool that allows you to immediately use our applications on a new mobile
Android technically allows moving app data, including the connection to each app, to backup copies of the operating system. In other words, Android can recover an application's connection data after restoring a backup on a new mobile. The problem is that developers generally do not program this possibility into their applications. However, on iOS, Migrating from one iPhone to another is a much more efficient processmobile moves both applications and their data.
This is why Google announced “Restore Credentials”, a renewed tool that will allow you to migrate from one Android phone to another much faster and directly: Credentials and application data will also be transferred from one mobile to another.. The biggest change is that this process is much more direct within the operating system and is linked to Android backup. Migrating credentials requires no user interaction and is a process they say is simpler for developers. Here's how Google explains it:
“No effort is required on the part of the developer to transfer a recovery key from one device to another, as this process is linked to Android's backup and restore mechanism.”

The process promises to be direct and, above all, safe. When you log in to an application, the operating system creates a recovery key that will be stored locally on the device, or in the cloud, if the user has configured online backup. When moving to a new device, the user can create a backup on the old device and when restoring it, this copy will include the recovery keys and application data.
This way, when you start using the new mobile, the applications will also be connected and we will be able to use the new smartphone immediatelywithout having to log into an app or remember passwords that we probably forgot. This renewed tool will simplify a process that can be boring, so we can use our new mobile faster.
