We still don't know what Christopher Nolan's next movie will be about, but Robert Pattinson reteams with filmmaker after 'Tenet'

Regardless of your overall thoughts on Tenet (2020), you have to admit that Robert Pattinson's performance as the mysterious and charming Neil is one of the best parts of the movie. Thankfully, a major collaboration with Christopher Nolan happened again.

Even though we haven't learned the actual plot yet (whether it's about vampires or just a helicopter pilot), the cast of this upcoming mysterious Nolan movie won't stop growing and could be one of the hottest movies right now. So far, members include Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o and Zendaya.

Via The Hollywood Reporter , we learn that Pattinson is the latest name to be added to an already impressive roster. While other Hollywood industry insiders say he's in talks, THR seems confident the actor is firmly committed to joining the cast. “Sources say Damon, Holland, Hathaway and now Pattinson form the core cast of the film.”

The big-screen feature film, once again written by Nolan himself, has been set by Universal Pictures for a July 17, 2026 release date, close to the 2023 release date of Oppenheimer's R-rated biopic The film went on to gross $975 million worldwide. It won seven Oscars earlier this year, including Best Picture and Best Director. Nolan may be returning to “pure blockbuster” territory with his next project, but he's one of those filmmakers who always aims for the highest possible goals, so we fully expect whatever he makes now will be A strong shift/angle.

Pattinson's next blockbuster is “Mickey 17” directed by Bong Joon Ho, which is shot in 2022 and will not be released until April 18, 2025, after several strategic delays. As for The Batman Part II , it looks like filming won't begin until early next year due to scheduling conflicts and the extra work Matt Reeves put into the script.
