When STALKER 2 was finally released, initial reviews were that it was a pretty good game, but one that's currently plagued by a lot of bugs and issues. Some you can live with easily, some not, and GSC Game World predictably said they have plans to fix these issues, releasing a sizable patch towards the end of the review window.

However, developers are not the only ones choosing their tools and starting to develop solutions. In classic S.T.A.L.K.E. style, we're less than 24 hours away from the game's release, and modders have already managed to roll out a bevy of mods designed to help fix issues with the game – including five separate titles, Designed to keep you from stuttering.

Now take a look at the Nexus Mods page for Stalker 2 and you'll find “Stalker Optimizer” by FrancisLouis, the mod's author writes “Optimizes Stalker 2 and significantly reduces stuttering by optimizing shader compilation and asset streaming”, under Endorsement and download ranking. As of this writing, the game has been downloaded a total of just over 7,500 times, which is a pretty good score.

It's definitely not the only one, though, VynnGfx's “Tweaks S.2 – Less Stuttering, Improved Performance, Lower Latency, Better Frame Times” follows closely behind with 5,200 total downloads and is committed to improving Performance wise it does pretty much the same thing.

Add to that Xowny's “STK2 – SPF” and P40lox's “STALKER 2 – Ultimate Engine Tweaks”, and you've got plenty of options when it comes to Stalker performance tuning mods.

Beyond that, there are some early mods designed to do things like enable the console, let you carry unlimited gear, and – since the sky is blue – the re-rendering seems to have a hatred of certain colors/themes . Most recently it was purple in Dragon Age: Veiled Keeper, and in at least one of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. recolors, it's yellow.
