Another week, another edition of the Box Art Brawl!

Before we dive into this week's battle, let's take a look at how things went last time. We looked at Double Dragon for the NES, and that was another close call. After more than 1,600 votes from our dear readers, Western design won with 53% of the votes. Bravo!

This week we head to the GBA to check out Kirby: A Nightmare in Dreamland. A remake of Kirby's Adventure, Nightmare in Dream Land launched in late 2002, almost a decade after the NES original. While the core gameplay remained largely unchanged, it took full advantage of the GBA's more powerful specs, with completely revamped visuals and a co-op mode for up to four players.

There's another matchup this week as North America and Europe take on Japan, so let's get to it.

Be sure to cast your votes in the poll below; but first, let's look at the box designs themselves.

Europe / North America

Whichever design you end up voting for here, it kind of comes down to whether you prefer something dark and ominous or something a little more lighthearted. The western design is certainly a first, with a determined Kirby in the foreground with Matt Knight looking menacing in the background. It's definitely different than what we're used to from Kirby, but if you want something a little more familiar, check out the box art from…

Japan

Yes, the Japanese design is much more in line with what we would expect from a Kirby game. A much brighter composition, with a happy, smiling Kirby on the right and a whole bunch of stars floating around. It may not necessarily match the title of the game, unlike its western counterpart, but it's a nice piece nonetheless.

Thanks for voting! See you next time for another round of Box Art Brawl.
