Players who found Red Dead Redemption 2 a little too nostalgic have modified the remaster of the first game in their own ways. Bye, bye John Marston!
If you're still playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and especially RDR Online, free content will continue to be offered until late November and early December. Before a third episode, some returned to the first work with the 4K 60fps remaster on PC. As always, modders are working to improve the experience with various mods. But here I'm not sure if this is a good improvement… A new dubious game-breaking mod is available and it's almost funny.
The merger between Red Dead Redemption Remastered and RDR2
After the publication of Red Dead Remastered On PS4 and Switch, Rockstar Games has finally released the game on PC. A great premiere! Yes, in 2010 this GTA in the land of the cowboys was available exclusively for consoles (PS3, Xbox 360). PC users can therefore take advantage of all the benefits, at least in the best possible version. Some are still not satisfied with the result and roll up their sleeves to design 8K mods or another graphics mod that improves draw distance and textures, optimizes reflections and particles, and even modifies animations, AI and many other things.
NexusMods user fatassfukingmonkey had a different idea. Creating a mod to replace the character from Red Dead Redemption, John Marston, with that of the sequel, Arthur Morgan. « Restores Arthur's original hair, face and clothing to the default outfit only. The project is not serious, it is a joke, so it is not very successful ». Well, even without this information we would have noticed that the result did not meet expectations. But is it the intention that counts? This Red Dead Redemption Remastered project titled Arthur Morgan Restoration is available on Nexumodsalong with other mods that modify John Marston's outfit for dressier clothing. Will you try installing it or would you rather keep the base hero?
