Unlike Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Rebirth won't be getting any DLC, but that's not to say the director isn't just because.
After the release of Final Fantasy 7 Reborn, many fans wondered if DLC would be released, as Remake had already received some DLC while waiting for the sequel. Well, wonder no more, director Naoki Hamaguchi recently told the Daily Star that no, there won't be any DLC, but he did take the time to explain why. “We definitely hear the hunger from fans, the voices that want this kind of thing,” Hamaguchi said of those requesting DLC. “I totally understand, but I think from my perspective, what fans really want to see the most is not necessarily the DLC. They want to see the third part of the series as soon as possible.

“So that's why we've decided not to focus our development resources on creating additional bonus episodes for DLC at this time. We're really making every effort to get a third game out as soon as possible. So for now, that's where we're focusing our time.” This is a fair reason!
Remake's Yuffie DLC works really well as a bridge between the games, in terms of characters that can go out alone in Rebirth, there's Cid and Vincent Valentine, but to be honest, I'm not sure what you can do with that form, and as far as later It's always possible that Square Enix plans to remake Elegy for Cerberus into Crisis Core: Reunion. Praying for the dirge heads out there!
Our own Dom also had a brief chat with Hamaguchi earlier this week, specifically regarding the director's mini-game plan for the third and final installment, and don't worry, he's planning on changing a few things.
