The voice of Kratos himself, Christopher Judge, recently seemed to tease a God of War announcement, but it wasn't actually released.
If you can believe it, it's been a few years since God of War Ragnarok came out, so fans of the series have certainly started wondering when we might see another installment from the Santa Monica studio. There's nothing official yet, but Kratos actor Christopher Judge did an Instagram Live last week, which sparked some rumors that some God of War games will be released in the coming weeks, specifically in December Content published on the 1st. It's going to be two weeks full of announcements and all kinds of good stuff,” the actor said, continuing, “On December 1st, we're going to make a big announcement — and I can't wait to do it because a lot of you asked me: 'What happens next? '”

As gamers are wont to do, they took this to be confirmation that Sony would be revealing something related to God of War, although the judge didn't appear to mention the game, and it turns out the announcements had nothing to do with the series. The actor took to his personal account, citing a tweet about his comments, clarifying: “Absolutely not true! You can't tease something you know nothing about. I will make an announcement in the near future,” He confirmed, however, “I can guarantee that none of them will be about our beloved God of War. I'm waiting for updates like everyone else.”

So, yes, there are announcements coming, and yes, they involve Judge, but no, they don't involve Kratos et al. I guess these are just Judge fans who will be happy to hear this, but sorry God of War fans, there's nothing here for you right now, go home and replay it or something, I'm not your mom.
