A little more than a month after the release of New World: Aeternum, Amazon Games has now provided a preview of upcoming planned content.
As part of a roadmap, Amazon Games gives you an overview of upcoming planned content for the action RPG New World: Aeternum. The Blog entry is quite extensive and marks the start of the “Living Roadmap” format, which will continue to be used to inform what the team is working on for the game.
Part of the first released roadmap includes additional types of seasonal worlds, a revamped Invasion mode, new PvP modes, updates to the reputation system and more. The team is also exploring early concepts and ideas such as new weapons, a new zone, new PvE modes, new features such as warehouses and a siege system.
For now, the focus is on the highlights of the game's upcoming Season 7. These include, for example, seasonal worlds, i.e. dynamic and time-limited servers that are intended to offer unique gaming experiences. In a first variant you can expect permanent PvP, unique items and more; Progress and rewards remain even after the season ends.
There will also be an Outpost Storm map, providing you with a fresh battlefield to test your skills in the strategic PvP game mode. Outpost Assault is a team-based competition in which you collect resources, capture objectives and outmaneuver opponents.
Other content announced for Season 7 according to the developer includes:
- Mutant Expedition Upgrades and Combat Balance Updates: Unified Mutations eliminate the need for multiple gear sets, add matchmaking for M3, and improve the rewards for these challenging expeditions. Season 7 will also bring combat balance updates, starting with adjustments to various weapons.
- Daily Solo Trials: Solo Trials offer players an exciting opportunity to test their skill, strategy and mastery in high-stakes battles against iconic bosses.
- Seasonal events: Events like Legacy of Crassus and Rabbit's Revenge return, offering new players the opportunity to experience these seasonal favorites.
