A new alpha update for SMITE 2 is here and brings with it Thor, Cupid and Poseidon.
Titan Forge Games has released the seventh patch for the SMITE 2 Closed Alpha, expanding the list of playable gods and further improving the game systems.
Poseidon, Thor, and Cupid join the list of gods players can choose from, as they have all long been pillars of the original SMITE.
Poseidon, the Greek god of the oceans, controls the tides to control the battlefield. His water-based abilities can slow, damage, and knock back enemies. With his ultimate ability, Poseidon summons a monstrous kraken that tears down multiple targets at once.
Thor is the god of thunder in Norse mythology. In SMITE 2, he is a fearless warrior known for his fast, powerful attacks with his legendary hammer Mjolnir. Thor's ultimate ability causes him to leap into the sky and crash down at full force, surprising his enemies and turning battles around.
Cupid, the Roman god of love, is a mischievous god with a quiver full of heart-tipped arrows. His fast-paced attacks and healing abilities make him a good choice for players who prefer a supportive, yet offensive play style.
