“We are convinced that Avowed will dazzle”
At the beginning of this year Announced Xbox exclusivity postponed to February 2025a release window that now seems very busy with releases like Assassin's Creed Shadows, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds in the same month. However, the Obsidian Entertainment development team is not worried about the industry's busy schedule.
In a new interview with GamesRadar, Obsidian's Carrie Patel seems pretty calm about the situation. In fact, Patel says they're looking forward to all of these games and think Obsidian fans will. “You'll find exactly what you're looking for with Avowed” in February 2025.
“I don't think you'll ever find a window where absolutely nothing comes out and you're the only one going out for a month. But we are convinced that Avoué will be independent.. Personally, I'm very excited about a lot of these games and I think we're getting a very different experience from them as well.
To add a little more positivity to the news of Avowed's delayPatel also says the game will launch in 2025 “This gave us more time as a team to correct mistakes and make final adjustments”which seems to us to be excellent news since the game is ready for release.
Avowed comes to Xbox Game Pass on February 18, 2025.
