We had a pawsitively purrfect time with Cat Quest III when the sweet action adventure hit the Switch earlier this year. And now, that little kitty is getting even bigger.

The 'Mew Content Update' (we love the cat pun, if you couldn't tell after that opening sentence) was put on Steam today and will be “coming soon” to consoles. What's more, it seems to contain some nice ones clawed (sorry) bonus goodies.

First and foremost are the additional five story quests, where you'll sail the seven seas, uncover secrets and meet some familiar furry faces along the way. Couple that with four new dungeons and three new boss fights, and you've got a pretty strong expansion.

Of course, there's also a treasure chest of new gear, so you can customize your feline friends however you like — come on, what's better than cats in hats?

New content
– 5 new missions.
– 4 new dungeons.
-9 new gear (including a second Warrior's Braid for more co-op fun!)

QOL supplements
– Boosting above max level now replenishes health, mana and ammo.
– Added “Camera Shake” option in options.

Bug fixes
– Fixed a rare issue where NPCs would sometimes move at an abnormal speed.
– Fixed French localization where characters from certain words are missing (eg Charaibes -> Charabes).
– Fixed an issue where some enemies' attacks could cause the player to be unable to transition from water to land and vice versa.
– Fixed an issue where there was a short glitch at the end of skipping animated videos.
– Fixed credits not returning to original starting point.
– Fixed confirmation message panels sometimes not hiding properly after confirmation (“Yes”).
– Adjusted sound effects for fading during scene transitions.
– Fixed an issue where certain passive components did not function properly with certain equipment.
