Frostpunk 2 got off to a very successful start – and now it's clear what will happen next year.
The men at 11 bit Studios have now revealed a roadmap that makes the timetable for Frostpunk 2 public in the coming year 2025. Accordingly, the developers are planning additional content as well as other improvements to the game.
After the release of version 1.2 in 2024, there will initially be a large and free content update next year. The update will also include quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes, as well as new game mechanics based on player feedback.
The console version of Frostpunk 2 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will follow later this year; However, a specific release date has not yet been announced.
Incidentally, a total of three large DLC packages are planned, at least two of which will appear in 2025; The as yet unnamed final third DLC will follow in 2026. Before that, there will be the two additional contents “Spectrum” and “Aurora” next year, each of which will bring additional story elements, new mechanics and other content.
Since the PC version was released in September, Frostpunk 2 has received mostly good reviews. The peak number of simultaneous players was initially over 35,000 gamers.
