STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl will soon receive its first patch. But balance updates will take a little more time.
STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl is here and while some are having fun with the game, others are upset about the numerous bugs, rough edges in the game.
A first patch with numerous bug fixes is scheduled to appear this week. However, a balance update will still be a long time coming. GSC Game World, the developer of STALKER 2, has announced that future updates are planned to improve the game's balance.
However, the current focus is on fixing bugs and performance issues. In the future, aspects such as the balance of mutants, the day-night cycle and the game economy will be addressed. This announcement follows feedback from the community that certain mutants were too resilient and repair costs were too high.
“A-life is the most important project. Others are still under discussion, I can't reveal exact details about what we're planning until we're 100% sure we're doing it. Some topics of discussion include mutant balance, the day-night cycle, and economic balance,” wrote the studio's community manager, Mol1t, in the official STALKER Discord.
“But since we clearly have bugs, like A-Life, optimization and quest issues, these are a higher priority. In the meantime, we're looking at the feedback on some more complex things and approaching them carefully without, you know, overreacting. Just so you know we are aware of the most important suggestions from the community and are not ignoring them.”
