Huawei's Mate 70 series has been expanded to include the 70 Pro+ and 70 RS models. We'll tell you what innovations they bring and why they are real eye-catchers.

With the Mate 70 Pro+ and 70 RS, two more top models in the Mate 70 series have now been unveiled by Huawei. The new models stand out visually compared to the Mate 70 Pro GSMArena reported. The back here is a mix of gold threads and brocade fibers. According to Huawei, the nylon material is said to be very durable and can withstand impacts well.
The structured surface is designed to capture the light in shimmering star rings that shine brightly – a real eye-catcher. The frame is made of a titanium alloy that Huawei describes as basalt, a dark, fine-grained volcanic rock, and is said to be extremely scratch and drop resistant. The models also come with IP69 protection standard and are therefore dust and water protected (up to 6 meters for 30 minutes).
Nylon material back
The screen of the Mate 70 Pro+ is a 6.9-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hertz, which reaches a peak brightness of up to 2,500 nits. There is a 3D facial scanner underneath, while the fingerprint scanner can now be found on the side of the phone. The Mate 70 RS, on the other hand, has the same 6.9-inch diagonal, but it is a dual-layer OLED display that achieves a higher peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It is also coated with stronger glass.
The remaining specifications are identical: Both models come with a 5,700 mAh battery, 16 GB of RAM and 512 gigabytes or 1 terabyte of internal storage. They have a triple camera on the back with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel periscope camera and a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Both models run on the HarmonyOS 4.3 operating system.
Price and availability
The Mate 70 Pro+ is available in four colors: Ink Black, Feather White, Gold and Silver Brocade, and Blue. It is available in stores starting at CNY 8,499, which is around 1,250 dollars. The Mate 70 RS comes in red, white and black and starts at CNY 11,999, the equivalent of around 1,580 dollars. It is still unclear when the devices will appear in this country.
