Palworld: Big December update brings huge new island

Far from the patent dispute with Nintendo, Palworld wants to make a name for itself once again in terms of content: There will be a big content update for you in December!

Developer PocketPair has announced that survival title Palworld will receive another major update later this year. The announcement states that this update will bring the largest and most ambitious island to date to the game in December 2024.

The new gaming area is also described as the most mysterious yet. You'll be able to have fun there, because the new island is supposed to be six times larger than the map introduced in the big summer Skurajima update. It is not yet known what theme the new island will have, as the development studio initially left further details open. The first teaser images show new biomes, including a cave and an autumn forest.

Ahead of the release of the December update, Palworld's price has also been reduced by 25 percent across all platforms. This discount is valid until December 3, 2024.

Palworld launched with great fanfare in January 2024 and set records. The initial hype has since died down, but more than 25 million players have already had fun with the title. The game recently caused a stir because of its similarity to various Pokémon because Nintendo and The Pokémon Company filed a lawsuit for trademark infringement.
