A worrying future
Humanity is at a turning point: artificial intelligence is becoming more and more efficient, more and more entrepreneurialand that scares more than one person. Pantheon is a series that talks about this type of problem. The viewer follows three characters who delve into the near future. First, Maddie, a young girl who is bullied at school and has just lost her father. Caspian, a computer hacker determined to get behind the scenes of Uploaded Intelligence, a Technology that allows us to digitize human consciousness. And finally, Chanda, a visionary engineer who is able to foresee the next big trends in science.
The Anticipation Series, adapted from the book by Ken Liu, addresses two strong themes. On the one hand, that of the family, especially Maddie, who connects online to her father's consciousness to play a video game with him. On the other hand, there is the overall topic of telecommunications and networks. Viewers notice a good level of realism in terms of the hardware operation of a server or online communication. That's what it means The series takes no shortcuts and uses no technical terms to talk about things like using a phone's vibration motor to move it in one direction, or a cloning system.
