The Leaker AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem even reveals a lot of details about the development and gameplay of the new horror game via Twitter. Accordingly, we should be in Resi 8 just like in its predecessor Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in the First person perspective
In addition, the new game was not always planned as Resident Evil 8. During most of its development time should actually be Revelations 3. However, because the project was so well received by the first testers, Capcom would have decided to take more time to convert it into a new main part of the Resi series.

Resident Evil 8 would have to be officially announced at E3 2020 in June. Since the game fair has now been canceled due to the corona virus, the Leaker also does not know when we will receive the first information from Capcom about their new survival horror game.
How credible is the leak?
The Leaker Aesthetic Gamer aka Dusk Golem has made correct predictions before. Among other things, he correctly predicted that the Resident Evil 3 remake would reach us earlier than originally planned. However, he has already been wrong with other leaks, for example with his information that Silent Hill should get a reboot.
At the same time, his statements fit to previous leaks around Resident Evil 8. So his alleged information is not too absurd and untrustworthy and we hold one Release of Resi 8 in 2021 is very likely. Until Capcom makes an official statement, it remains no more than a rumor for the time being.
