Now it's getting spicy: Light of Motiram, which is extremely reminiscent of Horizon: Zero Dawn, is now also appearing for the PS5. The first gameplay could now also be seen.
This week the announcement of Light of Motiram caused a stir – an online action game that takes place in a world dominated by huge machines and is not only reminiscent of Horizon: Zero Dawn in terms of its setting, but also visually. This is also why similar accusations of plagiarism quickly arose, such as when Palworld was released with regard to Pokémon – and Nintendo has since filed a lawsuit for trademark infringement.
After the PC announcement of Light of Motiram, which as an MMO at least takes a slightly different approach to gameplay than Horizon: Zero Dawn itself, there is now the next information about the game. This is how via Weibo two additional platforms confirmed for Light of Motiram. In addition to mobile platforms, the action game is now – how could it be otherwise – also making the PlayStation 5, the home platform of the Horizon franchise, unsafe.
Coupled with this platform announcement, the first gameplay was shown pretty quickly – and very extensively. The makers released a 16-minute gameplay demo that provides a lot of insight into Light of Motiram and shows what awaits us. Spoiler: The game is really reminiscent of Horizon, but also seems to incorporate survival elements ala Palworld.
In Light of Motiram you should be able to build your own base and keep it running with the help of mechanical workers. From a purely graphical point of view, the whole thing looks pretty neat, but it remains to be seen how the further development will go and whether Sony – like Nintendo – will come forward in the end with accusations of plagiarism. Light of Motiram doesn't have a release date yet anyway.
