Japanese developer Outside has announced that its Hellish Stupidity Redneg Allstars Swing-By Edition it will not be released in the US or Europe, as it has been refused classification in both regions. As such, the game is now exclusive to the Japanese eShop (thanks, Automaton).
When asked on social media when the game would be released in the US, Outside stated, “The game has been rejected in Europe and the US due to expression restrictions, so it will only be available on the Japanese eShop”.
It's not clear exactly what these so-called 'expressive limitations' refer to, but it's likely that the judging panels aren't too keen on the combination of suggestive elements (ie exaggerated parts of the female anatomy) with cute, almost childish… friendly artwork and a pastel color scheme . According to the Steam page, the game also contains 'elements related to drug abuse'.
What's particularly amusing to us is how tame the game looks compared to some of the more mature titles already available on the Switch eShop – at least at first glance, that is. We can't be 100% sure that it doesn't contain something outrageously inappropriate, so if you happen to play this one and have more information about what content it contains, please let us know.
Otherwise, if you're into hellish nonsense and fancy trying this out, you'll have to grab it from Japanese Switch eShop.
