Huawei P40 Pro Applications

The experience without Google services on a daily mobile is not easy, but unlike what happened before, it's impossible either, gradually, users have other ways to fix this omission on mobiles that do not have these services many smartphones have it.

I've been using the Huawei P40 Pro for a few weeks, the Huawei in the late 2020s that I gave my first impressions of, and which is considered the best crown in the company's history but, due to a company collision with the United States government, does not have Google and its services. And the fact is, after a few weeks and a signal, I can confirm that it's entirely possible.

How is it possible to live without Google in 2020?

Currently almost all people with an Android mobile phone rely to some extent on Google to use it, but not only to use it, but also to enjoy the full experience, with our backups, our favorite apps and the facilities that GG offers us in every way possible.

After taking the first steps with my phone, I searched for the App Gallery – Huawei's app store – for some of the programs I want to install, and the fact that there are other options in the Chinese hardware store, though, I needed some important apps in my terminal. App Suche can also be an alternative to downloading some applications, but not all.

That is why I went to download the Uptodown application, the application store, which we have already mentioned on another occasion which allows you to download any app we find on Google Play, While this is not the only way to do this, we also have other stores like Aptoide or Apkmirror.

Once that's done, download the apps I use daily like WhatsApp, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Snake Snacks -Even if it comes from Google, it works without its functions -, Square or Twitter. Except, of course, Google apps like Save, Gmail or Google Calendar, which, for obvious reasons, I haven't downloaded. And the fact is that, generally, the experience is very satisfying on this Huawei P40 Pro.

The most rewarding thing about having a phone without the Google services I received the last few weeks has been the subject I use Google for storing some passwords – which I've had to recover – and, because this terminal does not have a Google certificate, Netflix is not supported -Good for the type of app uploaded to the web-. Otherwise, no problem.

I'm a big fan of Google Play services, especially Google Photos, but I've tried to fix the lack of these in my terminal, too I'll tell you how to do it with each Google application what I use:

  • YouTube: Download YouTube Vanced, a modified app from the platform
  • Google Photos: add direct access to the web version in the launcher. It's not even how accurate it is, but it does its job.
  • Google Drive: add direct access to the web version.
  • Google Store: add direct access to the web version.
  • Google Maps: using other methods from the app gallery, or the fact that they don't work with the Google app.
  • Gmail: using the traditional Huawei system, or downloading an alternative

On the other hand, there are some apps that won't work without Google Play services, and the solution to this, either search for the vacant, or access that program through its web form, Although the truth is that not all of this is possible, so you will have to decide how important it is and what you can use.

Aside from that, I've noticed that the experience is recurring or small, and that if you decide to bet on a mobile phone without Google's presence, maybe the experience isn't as good as it includes G services, but And it's impossible to use, as they have been for the last few years.
