Working in one of the system's flagship games is both a privilege and a great responsibility, with the crunch cases that have come to light in recent weeks the pressure and stress that many developers handle are evident. Ryan Cleven, The Coalition's multiplayer design director has left the studio after leading this section of the last two installments of the series thanking users, but aware that this work "takes a price."
Cleven alludes to personal reasons for leaving The Coalition and take a sabbatical time to rest. Rod Fergusson's departure to Blizzard in February this year, who was leading the studio, is one of the main causes, since he considered him as "a mentor," says the creative. Second would be the workload of the past few months in Gears 5 multiplayer and Cleven's disagreement with how this section of the game had come to market.
I hope you're enjoying Operation 3: Gridiron. It's been my favorite to work on and is closer to how I wished we'd launched. It's also my last with TC & Gears. Due to personal issues, I'll be going on sabbatical indefinitely. Thanks for joining me on this journey. See you online. pic.twitter.com/j8uev2RBOS

Now that Cleven needs to put his priorities in order and pass the series multiplayer torch to another manager, We may see changes to the playable formula of the series for Gears 6. It will not be easy to innovate, since the use of coverage and the «wall bounce» is a hallmark that the most hardcore players have perfectly ingrained.
